Admission Requirements

Current UNM Students need:

  • 2.75 Cumulative GPA.
  • Meet with the OILS Undergraduate Advisor to discuss degree program and to work on a proposal for college credits from an accredited institution. 
  • Submit letter of intent along with OILS application. Letter of intent should state your reasons for applying to the Program along with education and career goals.

Transfer Students need:

  • 2.75 Transfer GPA.
  • Meet with the OILS Undergraduate Advisor to discuss degree program and to work on proposal for college credits from an accredited institution.
  • Submit letter of intent along with OILS application.  Letter of intent should state your reasons for applying to the Program along with education and career goals.

Transfer Students: To be admitted into the Instructional Technology & Training Bachelor of Science Program, a technical AAS degree or a technical certificate program must be completed or in progress with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the technical major. 

Admission Procedure

Visit the UNM Admissions website for general admissions information.

  1. Apply to UNM as an Undergraduate Student.
  2. Meet with the Bachelor's Program Coordinator (Zimmerman 241) for a transcript evaluation.  Bring unofficial transcripts from each college you attended. UNM transcripts are not needed.
  3. Submit an official transcript to the OILS Program. Have the official transcript sent to:
